Hello fellow artists and art appreciators.
Thought I would finally join the world of blogging.
My purpose is to dialogue regarding my art work.
I work primarily in oils, and paint seascapes that I refer to as "my perspectives on sky and water".  As you can see I like to use my imagination and often blend elements of sky and water together.

I create most of the configuration of clouds and waves using my fingers.  When I began painting, about 12 years ago, pastels were my medium. I loved moving and blending the chalks with my fingers, and achieved some interesting results.

Oil painting didn't click for me until I started using my fingers. I just couldn't get the brush to do what I could do with my hands.

A word of precaution, probably not the best practice to allow the paint to penetrate the pores of your skin. I apply a product called Gloves in a Bottle very liberally, wash often, and reapply.
